Step by Step Instructions
Let your truck sit with the hood popped, doors shut and the key fob away from the vehicle for at least 20 minutes. It is important to keep the key fob away and the doors shut during the entire installation process. DO NOT bring the key fob near the vehicle or open any doors until AFTER the module is fully installed and connections are verified. This allows the computer to 'sleep' and for your engine compartment to cool down. Failure to do so will result in a check engine light on startup.
Step 1: Locate the (2) injectors harness plugs on the driver's side of the valve cover on the top of the engine. The connections are labeled: "Flywheel harness" for the rear and "Engine harness" for the front connections. |
Step 2: You may require a small screwdriver to release the connector retaining tab. If using a screwdriver to release the locking tab, GENTLY slide into lock and push it towards the valve cover to disengage. Note: It may be beneficial to remove the foam around your fuel rail to help with access to the rear injection harness plug. |
Step 3: Once the harness plugs are all connected you can connect the red wire to the positive terminal and black wire to the negative terminal of the driver's side battery. *Do not apply backward - it will damage the module. |
Step 4: Now that the entire harness is installed in the truck, double check that all connections are secure and flush. Then plug the harness into the module. |
Step 5: Mount module away from hot and/or moving parts. Zip ties provided. We recommend storing the module in the pocket behind the battery. Medium is the best all-around setting to leave it in. Please allow up to 100 miles for the program to engage. |
